Like Candles, Trees Eat The Root Here

Like Candles Trees Eat The Root Here

Like Candles, Trees Eat The Root Here

Nothing in this world is perfect
This entire world is subject to extinction
Like candles, trees eat the root here
Getting filled and emptied from oneself is the best
Mirror the ascent and descent of the moon
If you have knowledge of the passing time
You will see the caravan of months and years
How can anyone be greedy and chase for ranks?
Do not be ashamed to ask this question
Friends seek struggle in this world
Struggle takes us to the festivities of the delicate
Do not ask where my writings came from
Grief has a bond with the writer’s profession
Moon transforms one thousand times from crescent to absent
I have seen this world’s flaws and perfections
Granite cannot challenge the effort of the humble ones
One of my letters may reach the board of destiny
So my struggle may be written there
(Bedil) not everyone understands the writings
To the speechless tongue it is about counting of the eyelashes

Hazrat Abu Alma’ani Abdul Qadir “Bedil”
