My friends, brave young men,
Everyone is challenged by fate,
God granted each his own path,
Everyone desired to fulfill his duty.
Some took the path of God,
Only good deeds were their intention,
Some took swords into their hands,
They fought and paved the way for Islam.
Beys and khans with thoroughbred horses and camels,
Will fill the plains when all of them saddle,
They destroyed the shields, shed the blood,
The brave men lost their heads.
We were in need of a strong ally,
But instead we got surprised,
Some went to Iran, Turan
Some crossed over to Esfahan, Tovriz.
God was aware of my state,
But people might not know for sure,
Magtymguly, my path was
Separated from that of my friends.
