Azady My Teacher – Magtymguly Pyragy

Azady—My Teacher
I entered my inner soul and noticed a sign that bothered me,
Either separation or loneliness is left, my teacher, Azady.
He ran away from the wind, wanting solitude,
After nine years of appeal, he became my brother, my Azady.
Always dashing around, he deprived me of my will,
He locked his garden, his flowers are faded, know this, my Azady.
What is this? Why all this sorrow? The sun and water are crying.
My never-ending tears have become more eager, my Azady.
In search of remedy for my pain, Lukman wandered from country to country,
His fame spread all over the world, my teacher, Azady.
Just wait and see, the whole world will be aware of my pain,
I am afraid this world is tired of me, my Azady.
Pyragy says, father, just have a look at my pain,
Otherwise I am losing my will, my patience is gone, my Azady.
